rabeeha adnan - bio
Rabeeha Adnan (b. Lahore, PK; lives Brooklyn, NY) is an interdisciplinary artist working primarily with projection mapping, video, sound, text, installation and public intervention. Central to thier work is an exploration of institutional power dynamics and the ‘politics of verticality,’ which inform their ongoing investigation into what they term “choreographies of power” that unfold when individuals encounter their work. They explore spatial semiotics in their sculptural practice, viewing each space as a unique signifier.
They received their MFA in Sculpture + Extended Media with a full ride scholarship from Virginia Commonwealth University (2024, Richmond, VA) and their BFA from National College of Arts (2021, Lahore, Pakistan).
